The Jesus Way
When we created Jesusdoll.com, we decided our highest value would be to share the teachings of Jesus with children. It would be about what he said - not what others said about him. Not the theological systems built on top of his 'brand'. Just his words.
Jesus taught a complete gospel. When he was asked how to inherit eternal life, Jesus told them: Keep the commandments. Love God. Love your neighbor. He said it every time he was asked, without hesitation. His message of repentance, forgiveness, compassion, and service — is the perfect path to God.
Distance from source introduces distortion. Gospel authors shaped narrative to serve their audiences. Paul built an entirely new gospel from visions of a man he never met. Scribes inserted words and passages. Church councils excluded many sacred texts from canon. Denominations formed around disagreements about all of the above. None of that changes what Jesus actually said. Jesus is the source. We value the source above all.
That's the Jesus Way. We take Jesus at his word, hold his teachings as the ultimate standard, and try to live by them. Its universal, and his teachings belong to everyone who's willing to follow them.
Jesus said "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock".
